Who we are

Alekows is an independent service that explains UK benefits in Bulgarian, Turkish and English. We are not part of the government, DWP, HMRC or any council.

What you are buying

Our guides are PDF files (digital content). Each guide is written in Bulgarian, Turkish and English and contains general information based on official GOV.UK sources. A guide is not personal, legal or immigration advice, and we cannot guarantee the outcome of any claim.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the full price you pay. Payment is taken securely by Stripe. You receive an email receipt from Stripe after paying.

Delivery

Straight after payment you are taken to your download page. Your download links work for 24 hours. If anything goes wrong, or your links have expired, contact us with your receipt and we will send your guide again.

Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because our guides are digital content supplied immediately, when you buy you ask us to give you access straight away and you agree that you lose this right to cancel once the download is made available to you. If you have not been able to access your guide, the right to cancel still applies.

Faulty guides and refunds

If a guide will not download or open, is faulty, or is not as described, contact us within 30 days of buying. We will fix the problem, send it again, or give you a refund. This does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Using your guide

Your guide is for your own personal use. Please do not resell it, upload it publicly or share it on social media or in groups. You are welcome to use it to help your own family.

Updates

We update our guides when benefit rates and rules change, usually each April. We may email you a free updated copy of a guide you bought.

Our paid help with claims

Our one-to-one help with claims is a separate service. Its price and what is included are agreed with you on WhatsApp before you pay.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
